Our Story
Neighborhood Cleanups to Systemic Change
Clean Memphis began in 2008 with a simple goal: to make Memphis cleaner. Over time, we realized that lasting change requires more than cleanups – it requires transforming how we think about waste, resources, and community responsibility.
In 2020, we helped shape Memphis and Shelby County’s first zero-waste, circular economy framework – and today we’re bringing together schools, businesses, and civic leaders to reshape the systems that define how our city manages waste, resources, and sustainability.
